New Delhi: Regarding the situation on LAC, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi said that positive signals are coming from the diplomatic side but when it has to be implemented on the ground, it is seen by the military commanders from both sides. he/she said that the situation on LAC is stable but not normal and is sensitive.

The biggest loss of trust

In Chanakya Defense Dialogue, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi said that one has to compete, cooperate, coexist and confront and contest with China. he/she said that we want the situation which was there before April 2020 to come back, whether it is about who was where on the ground or about the buffer zone or patrolling. Till that happens, the situation will remain sensitive for us and we are fully prepared for any operation, whatever situation may arise, we can face it. he/she said that the biggest loss in this entire episode has been to trust. he/she said that many issues which were easy to resolve have been resolved. Also cautious about Chinese Village

China has built many villages on the other side of the LAC, about which the Indian Army has been cautious from the beginning. Regarding this, the Army Chief said that the population of Tibet and China is not near LAC. They are doing artificial immigration, it is their country they can do whatever they want but we saw what will happen in South China Sea. First the fishermen came to the gray zone, then the military came to save them. There is a bigger design behind this, we have to see it. he/she said that India also has model villages. The state government, army and central government are working together and our model villages will be much better.

What is the situation in Jammu?

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi said that after the removal of Article 370, it became clear what Jammu and Kashmir means for India and what India means for Jammu and Kashmir.
