Shakib was accused of violating the ICC Anti-Corruption Code not once but twice. First in the Trination series played in Bangladesh and then in the IPL match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab, the bookie contacted Shakib to fix the match. According to the rules, Shakib should have given this information to the concerned ICC officials. he/she did not do this and because of this he/she was banned.
