Saif breaks silence on ‘Adipurush’ controversy – It is better to stay away from religion, had become very restless

When Saif Ali Khan played the role of Lankapati Ravana in the film ‘Adipurush’, there was a lot of controversy over it. Hindu Mahasabha even said that he/she looks like a terrorist Khilji. A case was also registered against Saif in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, accusing him/her of hurting the sentiments of Hindu religion. This controversy took a more terrible form when Saif said in one of his/her statements that the character of Ravana will be shown in a human form. However, Saif later withdrew his/her statement, but by then the spark had flared up. Now Saif has spoken on that incident. he/she said that you should stay away from religion. Saif Ali Khan, who is currently waiting for the release of the film ‘Devra: Part 1’, recently spoke to ‘IndiaToday’. Apart from ‘Adipurush’, he/she talked about many issues like family, religion and politics. he/she said that the ‘Adipurush’ controversy was extremely disturbing and unsettling.

‘I didn’t know that things would escalate to this extent’

Saif said that he/she did not know that the matter would escalate so much and that he/she, the film and the makers would have to face so much criticism. he/she said, ‘The court had taken a kind of decision, in which it was said that an actor is responsible for what he/she says on the screen.’

Saif further said, ‘I know that many people are not free to say or do whatever they want. We all have to keep a little watch on ourselves and be a little careful. Otherwise there may be trouble. Saif also talked about the series ‘Tandav’, in which he/she played the role of a leader. There was a lot of uproar over that too. Saif said that you learn from your work. One should stay away from such things and issues. ‘Adipurush’ was released in the year 2023. In the film, Prabhas played the role of Ram and Kriti Sanon played the role of Sita. It flopped miserably.
