The actress said, ‘I am from Uttarakhand, but I was born and brought up in Delhi, so my parents and family are in Delhi … When I came to Mumbai, it was difficult for me to face more than 50-60 people sitting in a room every day. There are people in society and even in my family who have said nasty things to my parents.

According to Tripti, people used to tell her parents, ‘Why did you send your daughter into this profession? She will get spoiled. She will stay with the wrong people, she will take the wrong decision for herself, no one will marry her, she will not even get married now.’ The actress further said, ‘There was a time when I was confused, because when you wake up and there is no work, you lose hope. But one thing I knew was that I could not go back to my parents and tell them that I have not done anything.’
