From Rs 700 to Rs 9 lakh… Auction of gifts received by PM Modi begins

New Delhi: The auction of gifts received by PM Modi has begun. Anyone can buy any of the more than 600 gifts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi On Thursday, he/she urged people to participate in the auction of gifts received by him/her in the last one year. The money received from this auction will go towards the Namami Gange scheme. The online auction took place on Tuesday on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The gifts received by Prime Minister Modi are auctioned every year. Whatever money is collected from this auction is given to the Namami Gange scheme. In a post on Instagram, PM Modi said, “I am happy to inform that this year’s auction has begun. Do bid for whichever souvenir you find interesting.”

Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that through e-auction, people can not only preserve history but also contribute to a good cause. Shekhawat said in a post on X, it is well known that Prime Minister Modi dedicates even the souvenirs he/she receives for public welfare. For this purpose, the auction has started from September 17 and will continue till October 2.
Anyone can register and participate in the online auction on pmmementos.gov.in. Those who wish to see these memorabilia can visit the National Gallery of Modern Art located in Jaipur House, New Delhi from 11 am to 6 pm. The cheapest gift starts from Rs 700 while the highest price of a cap is Rs 9 lakh.
