This grandmother is walking around with the strength of 40 at the age of 80, her workout is such that even gym goers will sweat


80-year-old Elaine, who lives in Miami, believes that when you exercise, you feel better. If you want to look good, you have to give priority to fitness. She says that I was very fit and strong since childhood. At the age of 37, I went to the gym for the first time on the insistence of my friend. In a very short time, I started enjoying it. I started weightlifting, the great feeling of hot tub and sauna session after the workout forced me to come to the gym again and again.

But as soon as I reached the age of 50, I became lazy and my weight started increasing. After which I decided to go to the gym again. I saw others in the gym and tried to exercise like them. I challenged my own strength. I believe that lifting weights increases mental, physical and emotional strength. It is good to keep challenging yourself. But it is important to always listen to your body. That is why I have been following this routine for the last two years – three sets of hanging leg raises, three sets of hand stand, and three sets each of triceps push down, triceps dip, leg extension and lat pull down with the help of machines. Follow your fitness routine regularly

I exercise in the gym for 30 to 45 minutes at least 6 days a week. I do cycling there, which is enough for my cardio. I do my workout as a performance. Along with this, it is very important to take a healthy diet. I like ice cream, junk food and sweets, but instead of giving it up completely, I always eat in a limit. Sauna is necessary for me after workout. It does not make me feel tired for the whole day.

Elaine believes that age should be seen as a festival, not a challenge. With the right mindset and regular exercise, you can remain at your best fitness level at every age. It is possible that if I stop exercising today, I may never be able to start it again, that’s why I go to the gym every day.
