Tejashwi is the son of former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav. he/she has claimed that Virat Kohli has played under his/her captaincy in domestic cricket. Tejashwi, recalling his/her cricket days, said that when he/she used to play cricket, he/she used to be a star player, yet his/her entire cricket career was forgotten. he/she has said that many players present in Team India were once his/her batchmates.

Tejashwi Yadav said in an interview to Zee Media, ‘I was also a cricketer but no one talks about it. Virat Kohli has played under my captaincy. Has anyone talked about this? Why don’t they do so? As a professional, I have played good cricket. Many players of Team India are my batchmates.’

Tejashwi has been the Deputy Chief Minister
Former right-handed batsman Tejashwi Yadav has been the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar. Currently, he/she is playing the role of Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly. It has been almost a decade since 34-year-old Tejashwi made his/her debut in politics. Before joining politics, Tejashwi played cricket for Delhi at the junior level. he/she was a student of Delhi Public School. Tejashwi has played domestic cricket together with Virat Kohli. According to Tejashwi Yadav, ‘I left cricket after both ligaments were fractured.

Tejashwi Yadav entered cricket as an all-rounder. he/she has also captained the Delhi cricket team. he/she played his/her last match for Delhi in October 2008. Tejashwi has been a part of the Delhi Under 17 and Under 19 cricket teams. he/she captained the Delhi Under 15 team in which Virat Kohli played. Tejashwi, who made his/her debut in first class cricket for Jharkhand in 2010, has been a part of the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) team in the IPL. Delhi then signed him/her for Rs 8 lakh. he/she stayed with this franchise for 4 seasons (from 2008 to 2013) but he/she never got a place in the playing eleven.

Tejashwi made his/her first class debut against Vidarbha in November 2009 and played List A cricket against Tripura and Odisha in February 2010. he/she played all four T20 matches in Dhanbad for Odisha, Assam, Bengal and Tripura.
