Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the first person from India to deliver a speech in Hindi at the United Nations General Assembly. The day was 14 October 1977 and Atal ji started his/her speech with these words, ‘I have brought a message from India’.

After giving this memorable speech, he/she wrote a famous poem expressing his/her feelings about how the Hindi speech at the UN i.e. United Nations had brought pride to everyone.
