Rakul Preet was thrown out of Prabhas’s film after shooting for 4 days, she also lost Sushant’s film

Rakul Preet Singh is one of those popular actresses who has earned a lot of name in Bollywood as well as South films. This beauty from Delhi made her acting debut in 2009 with the Kannada film ‘Gilli’. Now Rakul has made many shocking revelations in an interview. The actress told that before the release of her first Telugu film ‘Venkatadri Express’, she was replaced overnight from two films. The special thing is that one of these had Prabhas. Moreover, Rakul told that she was first cast in Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s biopic ‘MM Dhoni: The Untold Story’, but later this role was given to Disha Patani. In Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, Rakul spoke openly about her film career. During this, she also mentioned nepotism in South cinema and Bollywood. The actress also said that four days of shooting had been completed for the Telugu film in which she was working with Prabhas. But then, without informing her, this role was given to someone else overnight.

Had done four days of shooting for Prabhas’s film

Rakul said, ‘Before my debut, I was replaced from a film after four days of shooting. It was a Telugu film with Prabhas. But sometimes, when you don’t know much about the industry or the way it functions you don’t take it to heart. There is a beauty in innocence and naivety. I was so naive then that I thought, ‘Oh, well they have removed me? Never mind, maybe it wasn’t for me, I will do something else.’

‘Because of innocence, my mind was not filled with poison’

The actress further said that when you are not corrupt, people start surrounding you. They tell you why this happened to you, all these things work to poison your mind. But there was no one around her then. She says that this ‘innocence’ of hers prevented her from thinking anything negative.

Rakul said- I came to Delhi after finishing the shoot

Rakul Preet further said about being replaced, ‘I came to know that the producer realized that the scale of the film is big. In such a situation, it was better to cast a popular actress in that role instead of a new actress. However, I was not told anything about this. I went to Delhi after finishing my schedule and later I came to know about this.’

When she was replaced in another big film, rumours started flying

Rakul tells that the same thing happened with her in another project. But it had not been shot. She had just signed the film. She says, ‘When it happens with two big films, a perception starts forming, rumours start coming out, where people wonder if you are being replaced because you have an attitude problem or you don’t know how to act. I knew I wouldn’t get that first big launch, I had to work my way up and then, I started with a small film which became a big hit.’

Dhoni biopic had to be rejected due to date issue

In the same interview, Rakul Preet Singh also revealed that she was supposed to be seen in Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s biopic opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. She had signed this film directed by Neeraj Pandey. She left the project due to date issues. She says, ‘This was the same role which was later played by Disha Patani.’

Rakul Preet Singh said, ‘I had completed the costume and script reading work, but then the shooting dates got extended by a month. I was then shooting for a film with Ram Charan and Jr NTR. ‘Bruce Lee: The Fighter’ was going to release in a month and two songs were yet to be shot. So, I could not adjust both the films together. Yes, I cried because I missed such a good film.’
