New Delhi. Rishabh Pant is very disappointed with his/her team Old Delhi 6 being eliminated from the Delhi Premier League (DPL). Praising his/her team’s hard work and discipline, Rishabh Pant said, ‘The second semi-final against South Delhi Superstars may have been cancelled due to rain, but there is no need to be disappointed, some things are not in our hands. It is the same this time as well.’ However, the final match was disappointing for South Delhi Superstars as well. East Delhi Riders won the title by defeating South Delhi Superstars by 3 runs.

Rishabh Pant was part of the Old Delhi 6 team in the Delhi Premier League. However, due to the Duleep Trophy, he/she was able to play only one match in the DPL. After this, Rishabh Pant went to play the Duleep Trophy but he/she kept an eye on every small and big thing of Old Delhi 6. he/she said, ‘I saw how hard the boys have worked to reach here. It is unfortunate that the rain put a stop to our campaign. But they say that if something goes, something comes too. We have also made something special this season. I am sure that we will come back stronger next year with the goal of the title.’

Fast bowler Ishant Sharma, who explains every little detail from practice to the ground, is also disappointed with the exit of Old Delhi 6. Praising the team, Ishant said, ‘It is very sad to be out of the semi-finals without even playing. I have seen how whole-heartedly our team has tried throughout the tournament. In such a situation, such things are bound to disappoint. I am hopeful that we will make such a comeback in the next season that everyone will be left watching.’

The semi-final match between Old Delhi and South Delhi Superstars was cancelled due to rain. As per the rules of DPL, if the match is cancelled then the team which is higher in the points table gets the advantage. On this basis, South Delhi Superstars managed to make it to the finals and Old Delhi 6 had to face elimination.
