From Shubman Gill to Shreyas Iyer, when will the Duleep Trophy matches start?

New Delhi. India’s domestic tournament Duleep Trophy 2024-25 will start from Thursday (September 5). The matches of the tournament will be played in two cities of the country. This time some changes have been made in this tournament. In the four-day tournament played with red ball, all eyes will be on star players like Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Mayank Agarwal, Ishan Kishan, Shivam Dubey and Ruturaj Gaikwad. These matches will be telecast live on television on Sports 18, while streaming can be watched for free on Jio Cinema app.

Indian selectors will also keep an eye on the Duleep Trophy matches. The selection committee headed by Ajit Agarkar will find it easier to select players from the Duleep Trophy for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. In such a situation, almost all the players who are included in the Test probables would like to present their claim strongly in the Test team against Bangladesh by performing well in the Duleep Trophy. Matches will be played in Bengaluru and Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh. Earlier six teams used to play in this tournament on the basis of zone but now four teams A, B, C and D will play.
