In two weeks, ‘Stree 2’ earned 766 percent more than its budget, money rained heavily even on the 15th day

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao’s ‘Stree 2’ has completed a blockbuster two-week run at the box office. In 15 days, this film has broken all records by earning 766% more than its budget in the country. ‘Stree 2’, directed by Amar Kaushik, has become the most profitable film of the year 2024. The phase of earning crores is still going on and it is ready to rock once again in its third weekend. According to the report of sacnilk, the horror-comedy ‘Stree 2’ earned a bumper Rs 291.65 crore in its first week of 8 days. The budget of the film is Rs 50 crore. It recovered its cost by earning Rs 51.80 crore in the country on the opening day itself. Now in its second week, this film has made a net collection of Rs 141.40 crore. This is -51.52% less than the first week. But this is a natural decline, as the film is still earning in crores.

This sequel of ‘Stree’ released in 2018 is ruling the theatres. ‘Stree 2’, released on the occasion of Independence Day, had to face a clash with ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and ‘Veda’ at the ticket window, but while the other two films proved to be disasters at the box office, ‘Stree 2’ earned a brilliant Rs 8.50 crore on Thursday, the 15th day of its release. The total collection of the film at the Indian box office has now reached Rs 433.05 crore, which is 766% more than its budget.

Apart from Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao, ‘Stree 2’ also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Tamannaah Bhatia in a cameo role. This film is earning well not only in the country but also abroad. In 15 days, it has collected a gross of Rs 617.25 crore worldwide. Out of this, the film has earned a brilliant Rs 100 crore abroad, while it has grossed Rs 517.25 crore in the country.

‘Stree 2’ will enter the 1000 crore club

The next big release at the box office is Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’ on 6 September. This means that ‘Stree 2’ has a chance to earn big not only in the third weekend but also after that till 5 September. It is expected that ‘Stree 2’ will be the next Indian film to enter the 1000 crore club worldwide.
