The makers, Priyanka Dutt (wife of director Nag Ashwin) and Swapna Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies have confirmed the same. The two sisters were present at the screening of the film at the Moscow Film Festival. They told News18, “The shooting will begin in the next five or six months (January or February 2025). Once it starts, we’ll be able to talk more about it.’

What will happen in the second part of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’?

According to reports, ‘Kalki 2’ will be based on the character of Yaskin (Kamal Haasan) who is the villain in the film. According to reports, the sequel will take three years to complete. Prabhas had also told that the sequel will be divided into two parts. When the first part was being filmed in the first schedule of the film, some of its parts were also small. As fans are getting more excited for the next part, something new is coming for them.

Whatever we did for part 1, we were all just going by Nag Ashwin. It often happens that until you actually see the scenes, you don’t understand most of the things. Now that we have seen everything Nagi has done and the way the audience has taken it, we will go into the second part with more energy.’
