Why was there so much chaos in Gujarat-Rajasthan this time? Did the monsoon change its course or was the reason for something else, know every single thing

New Delhi: This time the monsoon has maintained its activity in the country. From the country’s capital Delhi to many states of North India, intermittent rains are still continuing. This time the monsoon has surprised the most in Gujarat. Before Gujarat, heavy rains were also seen in many cities of Rajasthan this time. Although the rain has stopped in some places in Rajasthan, but it is still dominating in many districts. Talking about Gujarat, apart from the disruption of life here, many lives were also lost. The condition worsened so much that the army had to be called to handle the situation, yet there was no relief. Along with the common people, the condition of animals is also bad. Many roads have lost connectivity and there is water everywhere. The reason behind excessive rain in Gujarat this time is believed to be the change in the route of the monsoon and the excessive heat of the Indian Ocean. Let’s understand the whole thing. What is the latest situation in Gujarat?
The situation in Gujarat is dire. Gujaratis have rarely seen such heavy rains in the month of August. The IMD has predicted extremely heavy rainfall in many areas of Gujarat from August 29 to September 4. The IMD has expressed concern about the risk of moderate flash floods in these areas as well as the possibility of knee-deep water on roads, waterlogging in low-lying areas and closure of underpasses, especially in urban areas. According to media reports, rains have caused heavy destruction in Gujarat, killing 35 people and shifting more than 18,000 people, disrupting normal life. Apart from this, Vadodara is in a flood-like situation for the second consecutive day after the Vishwamitra river overflowed.

Bhanvad in Devbhoomi Dwarka district recorded 295 mm rainfall in the 24-hour period ending at 6 am, while Abdasa in Kutch received 276 mm and Kalyanpur 263 mm. According to official data, 20 talukas in Gujarat received more than 100 mm rainfall during this period. Mandvi taluka in Kutch received 101 mm rainfall in four hours till 10 am.

Why is there so much rain in Gujarat?
The Meteorological Department and Skymet have given reasons behind so much rain in the month of August. First understand the movement of monsoon. Monsoon first moves towards the northwest after the low pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal. The route of monsoon every year goes through Bihar, UP to Punjab and Haryana. This is the reason why more rain is seen in these states. The Meteorological Department said that this time the monsoon has changed its route. This time the route has moved towards the west via Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan.

25 more people died amid heavy rains in Gujarat, total number reached 35, IMD issued ‘red alert’
What did Skymet say?
Skymet, which gives weather information, has also given the reasons for this. Skymet said that climate change is also the main reason for heavy rains in Gujarat and other areas. The pattern of rain is also changing due to this reason. Now understand again. This time 4 low pressure areas were formed over the Bay of Bengal. All of them turned towards the west instead of taking the route towards the north. This was the reason that along with Gujarat, there was heavy rain in Maharashtra as well.

The Indian Ocean being warm is also a reason

Famous environmentalist Dr. Seema Javed has also said that the Indian Ocean being excessively hot is the reason for this. She further said that global warming is the reason why Kerala and now Gujarat are witnessing heavy rains. Dr. Javed says that more low pressure systems are seen in this rainy month. Due to this, many states receive more rain than normal.

Rain has stopped in Rajasthan but…
The effect of the change in the monsoon pattern was also seen in Rajasthan. However, now the pace of rain has slowed down in many places. Talking about eastern Rajasthan, there may be light rain in the next two days, but the rain will reduce from August 30. It is estimated that rain may start again in Kota, Udaipur and Bharatpur from September 2. There may be light rain in Bharatpur, Jaipur and Udaipur in the next 48 hours. From August 30 to September 1, rain will occur at very few places.
