When you enter the field of medical studies, you should be aware of one term – Seat Leaving Bond. The rule of Seat Leaving Bond is different in different states. Here we are talking about Uttar Pradesh, so know what is the rule of Medical Seat Leaving Bond in UP? Recently, the Yogi government has made changes in it.

Seat Leaving Bond UP: What are these rules?

Seat leaving bond says that if a student leaves medical or dental studies midway, he/she will have to pay compensation to the concerned college. For this, the colleges charge an amount of 5 to 50 lakhs. This rule was applicable in UP till now. But now it has changed.

Following the instructions of the National Medical Commission (NMC), the Uttar Pradesh government has abolished the financial penalty from the conditions of medical seat leaving bond in the state. That is, now you do not have to pay any financial penalty to the college if you leave your studies midway. But a strict rule is still applicable. That is – if the student leaves the seat before the completion of the course, then he/she will be barred from NEET admission in the next year’s academic session.
