SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Syllabus: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recently released the dates of SSC CGL exam. CGL Tier I exam will be held from 9 September to 26 September. What are the subjects in CGL?

In SSC CGL, questions will be asked from General Knowledge, Reasoning, Maths and English subjects. The syllabus of Reasoning includes both verbal and non-verbal questions. It includes topics like Analogies, Similarities and Differences, Spatial Visualization, Orientation, Problem Solving, Analysis, Judgment, Decision Making, Visual Memory, Discrimination, Observation, Relationship Concepts, Arithmetical Reasoning and Figural, Classification, Arithmetic Number Series, Non-Verbal Series, Coding and Decoding, Statement Conclusion, Syllogistic Reasoning.

The syllabus of SSC CGL Quantitative Aptitude (Maths) subject in CGL includes topics like Number System, Fractions and Decimals, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Alligation, Time and Distance, Work Time, School Algebra and Elementary Indices, Graphs of Linear Equations, Trigonometry, Pie Charts, Geometry and Mensuration, Triangle and its various types of centres, Circle, Triangle, Standard Identities, Histogram, Frequency Polygons, Heights and Distances, Degree and Radian Measures, Regular Polygons etc which have questions in the exam.

In the SSC CGL Syllabus, questions are asked from many topics in general knowledge. In this, questions are asked from history, culture, geography, economics, politics, national international issues, current affairs, neighboring countries, current affairs, books and authors etc. Whereas in the SSC CGL English Syllabus, questions related to synonyms, spotting errors, reading comprehension, sentence completion, antonyms, sentence improvement, idioms and phrases, spelling test, one word substitution etc. are asked.
