LU New Course: Syllabus of this new course got approval in Lucknow University, will be implemented from next year

All UG courses have started in Lucknow University under NEP. But, PG courses have not started yet under NEP (National Education Policy). The syllabus of two years of PG has been approved in the meeting of the Academic Council of the University, but it will be implemented from next year. In such a situation, students who have done UG under NEP and studied major and minor courses will now have to study the old course again under CBCS (Choice Based Credit System).

Due to this, thousands of students of the university and its affiliated colleges are facing a crisis. University officials said that UG and PG courses are now being taught in the university under NEP. Under NEP, the UG course is of four years and PG is of one year.
Under NEP, students with 7.5 CGPA will take admission in the fourth year of UG. Their number is very less. At the same time, the number of students with less than 7.5 CGPA is more. These students will take admission in two-year PG.

Playing with the future of students:

Students studying in two-year PG courses under UG NEP are to be admitted from the 2024-25 session. But, in the meeting of the Academic Council, the university officials have said that the two-year PG course will be implemented from the session 2025-26. In such a situation, now the students who have passed UG under NEP and taken admission in two-year PG will have to study again under CBCS.

This mistake of the university is a complete mockery of the future of the students. At the same time, university spokesperson Dr. Durgesh Srivastava said that two-year PG was implemented in the university under NEP in 2020 itself. The syllabus has been revised in the Academic Council.

On this, the university officials said that under NEP, the university was supposed to get NEP students in 2024. So how can the university implement it in advance.
