Shammi Kapoor’s son Aditya Raj Kapoor became a teacher at the age of 68, graduated from IGNOU last year


It is said that there is no age for education and Aditya Raj Kapoor, son of veteran Bollywood actor and Kapoor family star Shammi Kapoor, has proved this to be true. Last year he/she graduated at the age of 67 and now at the age of 68, he/she is starting a new chapter in his/her life by entering the world of teaching. The Kapoor family has always been known for its film profession, but it is not a common thing that a member of this family turns towards education and teaching at this stage of age.

Aditya Raj Kapoor, son of legendary actor Shammi Kapoor and actress Geeta Bali, has started his/her new career at the age of 68. he/she graduated in Philosophy from Indira Gandhi Open University last year and is now sharing his/her knowledge with children inside the classroom.

‘I took the first class and with this I have now become a teacher’

In a conversation with ETimes, Aditya Raj Kapoor praised the teaching profession. he/she said, ‘The job of teaching is the simplest compared to all other occupations. You just need to have academic knowledge and spiritual humility. I took my first class on Eastern and Western morality and with this I have now become a teacher. I apologize to all my teachers whom I troubled with my arrogance.’

Aditya said- If his/her father were here, he/she would have been happy to see him/her

Let us tell you that the Kapoor family usually does not pay attention to things like education, so this news surprised everyone that Aditya graduated at the age of 67. People must be wondering what would have been Shammi Kapoor’s reaction to this step of his/her son. Aditya said, ‘My father would have been very happy. he/she studied till the second year in college and if his/her father had not taken him/her out to work in Prithvi Theater, he/she would have probably continued his/her college. he/she knew the value of education.’

“I am fulfilling my mother’s dream”

Aditya Raj Kapoor also spoke emotionally about fulfilling the dreams of his/her late mother Geeta Bali. he/she said, ‘However, I feel that I am fulfilling my mother’s dream. Geeta Baliji had studied till sixth standard, her father was a philosopher. My mother sent me to a boarding school so that I could become a great person. I hope I will be able to live up to her expectations.’
