Double Smart Trailer: Fans could not tolerate Ram and Sanjay Dutt even for 2 minutes 42 seconds, got disappointed

The trailer of Double Smart, the sequel to Puri Jagannadh’s 2019 hit film iSmart Shankar, was released on Sunday evening. With Ram Pothineni reprising his/her role in the lead role and Sanjay Dutt as Big Bull, the trailer had a lot to offer. The 2 minute 42 second long trailer picks up where iSmart Shankar left off with Ram Pothineni’s character forever left with a chip in his/her brain that allows memories to be altered. The trailer shows Puri’s character as misogynistic as ever. he/she calls his/her new girlfriend Kavya Thapar as Bomma and then keeps an eye on her. Puri’s favourite comedy actor Ali also makes a appearance in a few scenes. However, Big Bull and his/her partner Bani J are searching for Ram. Sanjay’s character wants to become immortal, and he/she sees the chip as the best way to do so. The sequel also plays out in Ram’s flashbacks.

The trailer received mixed reactions from fans. Some called it a ‘blockbuster’ and hoped that the film would be a ‘comeback’ for both Puri and Ram. However, one commented – I couldn’t even finish the trailer. It was too long.

People did not like the trailer

Many people mocked the scene where Ram and Sanjay had guns in their pants. A disappointed fan wrote- I believe there will be no comeback for Puri. he/she will be finished with this cinema. They reshot the first part and named it Double Smart. Sadly they call it Pan India. Disaster!!!! One wrote- I am disappointed with Double Smart.

‘Double Smart’ release date

‘Double Smart’ comes at a time when both Puri and Ram are recovering from the lackluster response to their previous films ‘Liger’ and ‘Skanda’. ‘Double Smart’, produced by Puri and Charmme Kaur, will release in theatres on August 15 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. It will clash with Harish Shankar’s Ravi Teja-starrer ‘Mr Bachchan’ at the box office.
