Mohanlal’s heart melted after seeing the devastation in Wayanad, Kerala, announced help of Rs 3 crore

Nature’s fury continues in Wayanad, Kerala. More than hundreds have died in the landslide and as many are missing. The search operation of the rescue team is going on. Meanwhile, South superstar Mohanlal visited the affected areas in army uniform. he/she is a lieutenant colonel in the 122 Territorial Army. Seeing the scene of devastation there, his/her heart melted and he/she has announced a donation of three crore rupees for the relief fund. Earlier, South actress Nayanthara and her husband Vignesh Shivan have also donated lakhs of rupees. Mohanlal has shared pictures of his/her visit on Instagram. he/she wrote in the caption, ‘The devastation in Wayanad is a deep wound, which will take time to heal. The destruction of every house and disruption of life is a personal tragedy.’

The actor pledged Rs 3 crore for immediate relief and reconstruction efforts. he/she will also rebuild a school in Mundakkai. he/she wrote, ‘It was very emotional to see the courageous efforts of the soldiers and rescue teams of my 122 Infantry Battalion, TA Madras. Their selfless dedication brings a ray of hope. Together we will rebuild, heal and emerge stronger.
