New Delhi : India Alliance demonstrated solidarity not only inside the Parliament but also outside it. In this sequence, a protest was organized by the alliance at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. This protest is against the arrest and deteriorating health of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Congress leaders Gaurav Gogoi and Pramod Tiwari participated in this protest. Many big leaders including Aam Aadmi Party leader Gopal Rai participated. Sharad Pawar, Akhilesh Yadav also came to join the protest. During this, Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi said that if the BJP and Narendra Modi government are under the illusion that they can scare the opposition leaders by misusing the police and investigation agencies, then they are under a misconception. Today, this gathering at Jantar Mantar has broken this illusion of the BJP.

Congress leader Pramod Tiwari said that the Central Government’s ED illegally arrested Arvind Kejriwal. After this, from the lower court to the Supreme Court, he/she was granted bail but he/she was not released. he/she said that BJP’s Arvind Kejriwal is so afraid of this that he/she wants CM Kejriwal not to be able to come out of jail. On the instructions of two cowardly people sitting in power at the Center, Kejriwal was arrested by the CBI in an unconstitutional manner.

Sharad Pawar’s attack on the center

Sharad Pawar, leader of NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar), a constituent of India Alliance, said that the people of Delhi have elected Arvind Kejriwal as their Chief Minister thrice. his/her governance in Delhi has set an example for the whole country. The public has loved him/her immensely. he/she said that troubled by this, Narendra Modi and the BJP government conspired to attack democracy and put him/her in jail and his/her health is being played with there. Communist Party of India General Secretary Sitaram Yechury and RJD’s Manoj Jha also joined the INDIA Alliance protest going on at Jantar Mantar.

The people of Delhi were held hostage

In this case, Delhi government minister Gopal Rai said that the BJP-led central government has held the 3 crore people of Delhi hostage by sending Delhi’s elected Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to jail. In jail, the BJP and their LG are playing with Kejriwal’s health and a conspiracy is being hatched to take his/her life.

Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh has highlighted the growing concern over the treatment meted out to Kejriwal in jail and its impact on governance. The Aam Aadmi Party has alleged a conspiracy to ‘tamper’ with the health of its party leader in Tihar Jail. The party has cited his/her medical report and said that his/her sugar level has dropped 34 times between June 3 and July 7. Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 in a money laundering case related to the alleged excise policy scam.
