‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is still making a splash even after 26 days, while ‘Indian 2’ also earned crores on the 11th day

Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is still making a splash at the box office even after 26 days. This film has been earning a lot since its opening day. While this film has earned more than 618 crores in the country, it has crossed 10004 crores worldwide. This is the 5th Indian film to achieve this feat. This film has earned crores even on its fourth Monday, while Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’ may have slowed down, but it has once again shown its strong hold on Monday. It has been almost a month since the release of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ directed by Nag Ashwin. It is among the top-10 highest-grossing Indian films. But the dream of a top-5 film is still far away. Currently, the biggest challenge for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is to beat Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Jawaan’ which had a net collection of Rs 640.25 crore in the country and a gross collection of Rs 1160 crore worldwide.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has earned Rs 1.65 crore on the 26th day

According to the report of sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD has done a net business of Rs 1.65 crore in the country on the fourth Monday. Thus, its total earnings in 26 days are Rs 618.50 crore. Out of this, the Telugu version has earned the highest amount of Rs 277.40 crore. While the Hindi version has done a business of Rs 276.75 crore. Kalki has suffered a little loss in the Hindi version due to the release of ‘Bad News’, but it does not matter much.

Kalki 2898 AD Worldwide Collection

In terms of worldwide collections, this film based on the story of a dystopian world has crossed the magical figure of 1000 crores. After 26 days, the total worldwide gross collection of the film is Rs 1004.70 crores. Out of this, Rs 270 crores gross has been earned from foreign countries.

‘Indian 2’ has earned Rs 76.81 crore in 11 days

When Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’ was released on 12th July, it seemed that it would give a tough competition to ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ in South Indian cinemas, but it did not happen. ‘Indian 2’ showed tremendous growth in the opening weekend and earned Rs 59 crores. But now after 11 days, the total collection of the film is Rs 76.81 crores. The first attempt of the film is to enter the 100 crore club in the country, but as the situation is, it is having to struggle. ‘Indian 2’ has made a net collection of Rs 1.16 crores in the country on Monday, the 11th day.

‘Indian 2’ crossed 141 crores worldwide

‘Indian 2’ may not have earned Rs 100 crore in the country yet, but it has grossed Rs 141.50 crore worldwide. The problem is that the budget of this film directed by Shankar is Rs 250 crore. Now, at the slow pace at which it is earning, there are very less chances that it will be able to recover its budget and make a profit.
