Famous Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was arrested following allegations by his/her former manager Salman Ahmed. Rahat was detained by the local police on the criminal defamation complaint filed by him/her. However, he/she has since been released on bail. After Geo News aired the news of his/her arrest, Rahat released a video statement. he/she asked his/her fans not to pay heed to the rumours, but did not deny that he/she was detained and questioned by the police. New reports suggest that the Dubai Police formally filed a case against the singer on July 13 this year after Salman’s lawyers sent it to the police.
