Today’s weather July 17, 2024: People of Delhi-NCR are once again suffering from heat. This time the humid heat has troubled people. However, the weather department has predicted light rain in Delhi-NCR today. Today the maximum temperature of Delhi is expected to be 35 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to be 29 degrees. On the other hand, the maximum temperature of Delhi is expected to be between 33-35 for the whole week. On the other hand, the rain will continue in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh even today. On the other hand, the weather has become pleasant after heavy rains in some parts of UP, Rajasthan, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh. There are flood-like conditions at some places.

Yellow alert for rain in Himachal Pradesh

Rain continues in some parts of Himachal Pradesh. The Meteorological Department had already issued a ‘yellow alert’ for the entire week. The Meteorological Department located in Shimla has predicted rain in Himachal Pradesh till July 21. It has been raining intermittently in some parts of the state for the last two days, in which the highest rainfall of 36.8 mm was recorded in Sundernagar. After this, 16.6 mm rain was recorded in Mandi, 12 mm in Pandoh, 8.2 mm in Paonta Sahib, 8.1 mm in Karsog, 7 mm in Gohar, 5.7 mm in Baggi, 4.4 mm in Solan and 4 mm in Kufri.

Flood wreaks havoc in Hardoi, UP, administration on alert

Floods have caused massive destruction in Hardoi and other districts of Uttar Pradesh. Normal life has been disrupted. Hundreds of villages and farms have been submerged. Meanwhile, the DM of Hardoi inspected the entire situation with administrative officials. During this, he/she instructed the officials to take immediate steps to rescue the people trapped in the flood. 83 schools have been instructed to be closed due to the flood. SDRF, PAC and revenue teams have been deployed to speed up relief and work.
The flood has also destroyed the crops of the farmers. The connecting roads of the flood-affected villages have been cut off. Due to this, the administrative officials are facing problems in delivering relief material. A meeting was also held in this regard recently under the leadership of the DM. In this, a complete outline was prepared with the aim of accelerating the relief and rescue work, which will be implemented on the ground in the coming days.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in these areas of Rajasthan

The Meteorological Department has predicted that monsoon will remain active in eastern Rajasthan for the next four-five days and heavy rains will occur at various places in Kota and Udaipur divisions. According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area is formed over Chhattisgarh and surrounding areas and another low pressure area is likely to form in the Bay of Bengal around July 18. In its forecast, it said that monsoon will remain active in various places in eastern Rajasthan for the next four-five days and heavy rains may occur in Kota and Udaipur divisions. It said that very heavy rains are expected at some places in Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer divisions. The Meteorological Department said that rain is expected in some parts of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions of western Rajasthan in the coming days and heavy rains may occur at some places in Jodhpur division on July 17 and in Shekhawati region on July 18.
