New Delhi. Indian cricket team’s young batsman Abhishek Sharma wreaked havoc with the bat in the second T20 match against Zimbabwe. On the basis of Abhishek’s brilliant innings, India defeated the hosts by 100 runs and leveled the series. This 23-year-old batsman, who was out for zero in the first T20 International match of his/her career, made a spectacular comeback in the next match. he/she scored a century in 46 balls and won the Player of the Match award. After the victory, Abhishek said that today was his/her day and he/she capitalized on this opportunity. Abhishek, who plays domestic cricket for Punjab, said that he/she had full faith in his/her ability to play big shots.

Abhishek Sharma scored 100 runs in 47 balls in the second T20 match played in Harare. With this, India scored a big score of 234 runs for two wickets in the second match against Zimbabwe. After this, he/she got a big win by 100 runs by dismissing Zimbabwe for 134 runs in 18.4 overs. Abhishek said after the match, ‘I felt that if today is your day then you should express yourself. After getting a lifeline, I thought that today is my day and I should take responsibility.’

In this match, Abhishek Sharma along with Rituraj Gaikwad added 137 runs for the second wicket. Rituraj played an unbeaten innings of 77 runs while Rinku Singh returned unbeaten after scoring 48 runs off 22 balls. Abhishek Sharma said, ‘Ritu (Rituraj Gaikwad) helped me stay comfortable. I had full confidence in my ability to play big shots. I believe that T20 is all about rhythm and I felt that today is my day. Thanks to the coach and captain for keeping faith in me.’ The last IPL season was great for Abhishek. he/she played a key role in taking Sunrisers Hyderabad to the final.

Abhishek has become the Indian batsman to score a century in the least number of innings in T20. he/she broke the record of Deepak Hooda who had scored a century in 3 innings. Abhishek made an impact by scoring a century in the second innings of T20.
