NEET Cancel: Will NEET exam not be cancelled? Centre files affidavit in Supreme Court, know what the government is saying

NEET UG Exam 2024 News Today in Hindi: Well The latest update has come on the 2024 exam. This news can be a relief for lakhs of candidates and sad for lakhs too. The central government is against cancelling the NEET UG exam 2024. In this regard, an affidavit has been filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of the Government of India. In the affidavit filed on Friday, July 5, the Center said – ‘There is no concrete evidence of breach of confidentiality in the examination held on May 5’.

Why does the government not want to cancel NEET?

The Center has said in the affidavit filed in the Supreme Court regarding NEET 2024 that ‘canceling the entire exam will seriously jeopardize the efforts of lakhs of honest candidates who have appeared in the exam. Unless there is any evidence of violation of privacy in the NEET Exam 2024 held all over India, it would not be logical to cancel the entire exam and the declared results.’

At the same time, showing commitment towards conducting competitive exams in a fair and transparent manner, the affidavit states that ‘The Government of India believes that the confidentiality of question papers is the top priority in any examination. If confidentiality is breached due to some criminal elements, then the Government of India believes that such people should be dealt with strictly and with the full force of the law. So that it can be ensured that they are punished.’
