Video: Rohit Sharma came to receive the World Cup trophy doing the ‘baby step’ dance move

New Delhi. The Indian cricket team won the trophy by defeating South Africa in a thrilling final of the ICC T20 World Cup. Team India captain Rohit Sharma, former captain Virat Kohli along with coach Rahul Dravid and the whole of India had been waiting for this moment for 17 years. After becoming the world champion, captain Rohit Sharma lifted the trophy while doing a special dance move. he/she took the T20 World Cup from the hands of BCCI secretary Jay Shah and the happiness of holding it could be clearly seen on the captain’s face.

In the final of the ICC T20 World Cup, the Indian team faced South Africa. After winning the toss, Rohit Sharma chose to bat first but the start was not good. The team lost three wickets for 34 runs. Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant and then Suryakumar Yadav were soon out and returned. Virat Kohli, along with Axar Patel, took the innings forward and finally Shivam Dubey came and took the score to 176 runs for 7 wickets. Kohli scored 76 and Axar scored invaluable 47 runs while Shivam Dubey contributed 27 runs. Thanks to the excellent bowling of Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh, India stopped South Africa at 169 runs and registered a thrilling 7-wicket victory.
