How to check UPSC Pre Result 2024 on upsc.gov.in: The Union Public Service Commission i.e. UPSC is expected to release the results of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2024 soon. When declared, candidates who appeared in the exam can check their results on the official website upsc.gov.in. Notably, the UPSC CSE preliminary exam was conducted on June 16, 2024 at various exam centers across the country.

The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination consisted of two papers of objective type (multiple choice questions) and carried a maximum of 400 marks. As per previous trends, the UPSC result is expected in July. In the year 2023, the UPSC CSE results were declared on June 12, while the exam was held on May 26.

Candidates who clear the Civil Services Prelims exam will move on to the next and crucial stage, the UPSC CSE Mains exam 2024 and eventually the Interview or Personality Test round.

The UPSC had earlier said that it will prepare the list of candidates qualified for the Civil Services (Main) Examination based on the criteria of minimum 33% qualifying marks in General Studies Paper-II of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and aggregate qualifying marks of General Studies Paper-I of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination.

  1. Visit the official website of UPSC upsc.gov.in.
  2. Click on the UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Result 2024 link available on the home page.
  3. A new page will open where candidates have to enter the required details.
  4. Click on Submit and the result will be displayed.
  5. Check the result and download the page. Keep a hard copy of it for future use.

According to the UPSC calendar, the UPSC Civil Services Main Exam is scheduled to be held from September 20. 1056 vacancies will be filled in central government services and departments through the UPSC Civil Services 2024 exam. This includes Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Out of the total vacancies, 40 are reserved for people with benchmark disability category.
