Now admissions will be done twice a year in IP University, courses increased, decision taken after UGC’s instructions

IP University Admission Latest News: The Academic Council of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has approved the system of admission twice a year from the 2025-26 session. Recently, UGC has allowed all institutions to admit students twice a year. Accordingly, admissions can be done in July-August and then in January-February. After passing from the Council, this proposal will be placed for final approval in the meeting of the Board of Management on June 25.

Benefits of admission twice a year

IP University Vice Chancellor Prof Mahesh Verma said that the twice a year admission system is beneficial for both students and the university.

• This will internationalize education.
• The schedule of our institutions will match the schedule of foreign institutions.
• Enrolment of students will increase.
• Students will not have to wait for a year for admission or to pass any paper.
• Placement agencies will also come twice a year.

IP University Courses: Many new courses approved

The Academic Council also approved the introduction of B.Tech Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. Along with this, several new UG/PG programmes were also introduced along with increasing the number of existing programmes in the university and introduction of single girl child supernumerary quota.

The Academic Council also approved starting Indraprastha Skill Development Centre along with Health Sector Skill Council Emergency Technician, Media and Entertainment Skills Council Graphic Design and Skill Council for Green Jobs Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic Entrepreneur Programme. These skill-based courses are in great demand.
