‘Kalki 2898 AD’ will not be released without removing these 2 words! Know what else the censor board changed

RadianceDeepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani starrer ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has been passed by the censor board. The CBFC has given a U/A certificate to this film, which is being released in Telugu and Hindi. However, a copy of the alleged certificate of the censor board is going viral online, which shows that the film has been approved by the committee, but two changes have been made to it. The run time of the film is also said to be a little less than three hours. Our colleague Times of India shared a fan post about the certificate and reported that the censor board wants to make some minor changes in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. The certificate reads, ‘Insert a disclaimer with voice over at the beginning that this film is fictional and is not intended to hurt any religion.’ Apart from this, there is no instruction to cut any kind of scene or change any dialogue in the film.

The censor board asked to remove two words

The certificate mentions the removal of two words, ‘Remove the word ‘Veedi’ while referring to Kaal Bhairav. Also the subtitle text (replace with Devudu). It has also been asked to add 2898 AD along with ‘6000 years after Mahabharata’. Without this change, the makers will not be able to release the film.

Kalki is the 10th incarnation of Lord Vishnu

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film is three hours and 56 seconds long. In the film, Prabhas can be seen in the avatar of Kalki, who is the 10th incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who will incarnate at the end of Kalyug and destroy the sinners. Deepika is playing the role of Padma and Amitabh is playing the role of Ashwatthama. Kamal Haasan will be seen in a negative role.

Pre-release event of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’

On June 19, the pre-release event of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ was held in Mumbai, in which Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan were seen. Bhallaladeva i.e. Rana Daggubati, who has worked with Prabhas in ‘Bahubali’, also attended. As soon as Deepika appeared flaunting her baby bump, her photos and videos went viral.

This year’s Indian epic dystopian science action movie is releasing in theaters. You can watch it on 27 June 2024. Earlier it was scheduled to release on 9 May, but it was postponed and shifted to June because the post production work was not completed.
