‘Whatever he/she touches…’ Pak cricketer’s big statement on Gautam Gambhir

New Delhi. After the T20 World Cup, Rahul Dravid’s tenure as head coach will end. BCCI is currently looking for a new coach. Gautam Gambhir, who led Kolkata Knight Riders to the title in this IPL, is leading the race to become the new coach of Team India. he/she has also given an interview for the post of coach in front of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) after reaching Mumbai. It is believed that Gambhir’s name will be formally announced in the next two days. Former Pakistan team wicketkeeper batsman Kamran Akmal said that Gautam Gambhir is the most suitable person for this post.

Akmal believes that Gambhir is the ideal candidate to become the head coach of the Indian team. he/she also suggested that Team India should consider veteran fast bowler Ashish Nehra or Zaheer Khan as potential options for the role of bowling coach. While talking to Times of India.com, Akmal said, “Whatever Gambhir touches, it turns into gold. Any team he/she joins, it becomes successful.”

No need for a foreign coach…
Kamran Akmal said that Team India does not need a foreign coach. They have many options in India itself. After Rahul Dravid, there can be no better option than Gautam Gambhir. he/she was a great player and will become a good coach. At present, he/she is the best option for Team India. Dravid has given a lot to the Indian team not only as a batsman but also as a coach. Be it Dravid or Sachin, Ganguly or Dhoni. Everyone has given a lot to the team. The team should learn as much as possible from them.

Gambhir is still my friend…
Kamran Akmal said, ‘Gambhir was with Lucknow Super Giants and the team performed well under his/her leadership. he/she became the mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders and the team won the title. he/she is a great planner and his/her cricket mind is also great. I have played cricket with him/her for a long time, had meals together and we are still good friends. We are still in touch with each other. India can choose Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra as bowling coaches.
