T20 World Cup: The game and playing XI will change in Super-8, pitch will be helpful for spinners, Kuldeep might make an entry

Bridgetown. T20 World Cup 2024 has now entered its second stage. 8 teams including India have qualified for the second stage i.e. Super-8. 12 teams including Pakistan have packed their bags and returned to their country. India’s first match in Super-8 is against Afghanistan on 20 June. The Indian team can change its playing eleven for this match. The match between India and Afghanistan is to be held in Barbados, where the pitch helps spinners.

The Indian team did not field its best spinner Kuldeep Yadav in the group stage. India then fielded 3 specialist pacers Jaspreet Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammad Siraj and 2 spin all-rounders Akshar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja. Pace all-rounder Hardik Pandya made the bowling attack more balanced.

There is a rush to retire after the T20 World Cup, 3 veterans announced, this list is going to be long

It is believed that considering the pitch of Barbados, Kuldeep Yadav can enter the playing eleven. But this will happen only if someone is dropped. Indian captain Rohit Sharma has insisted on using four all-rounders (2 pacers and 2 spinners). In such a situation, Kuldeep can be included in the playing eleven only if the third fast bowler is left out.

Kuldeep Yadav bowled a lot in the net session before the match against Afghanistan. he/she bowled to captain Rohit and Virat Kohli. Head coach Rahul Dravid also kept watching Kuldeep’s bowling. If there is a possibility of turn on the main pitch like the practice pitch, then Kuldeep can be fielded.
