New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned to Delhi on Saturday morning after attending the G7 summit held in Apulia, Italy. After this, a picture of Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni and Narendra Modi started going viral on social media, in which Georgia is seen taking a selfie with PM Modi. Georgia also shared a few seconds of selfie video with PM Modi. The caption of this video read, ‘Hello friends from #Melodi!’ PM Modi also retweeted this post.

Prime Minister Modi has retweeted Melodi’s post again. he/she has written, ‘May the friendship between India and Italy remain forever.’ Apart from PM Modi, other BJP leaders have also shared these pictures. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju shared the picture of the two leaders and said, ‘True friendship for mutual benefit of India and Italy.’ Rijiju also wrote #Melodi.

During the meeting of PM Modi and Meloni, #Melodi started trending on social media. The word Melodi is trending on social media by combining the letters of Modi and Meloni’s names. Italy’s PM Georgia Meloni herself has jumped into this joke. The video of her selfie with PM Modi which she has shared also has this trending word Melodi written in it. Last year too, Meloni had shared a selfie with PM Modi and gave the same caption.
