39 year old all-rounder became number 1, big change in ranking during T20 World Cup, only one Indian in top-10


New Delhi. There has been a big change in the ICC rankings during the T20 World Cup. Afghanistan players have benefited the most in the ICC Players Rankings. 39-year-old Mohammad Nabi has become the world’s number-1 all-rounder by performing brilliantly in the T20 World Cup. he/she has snatched the number-1 position from Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan. Hardik Pandya has also benefited in the all-rounders’ rankings.

ICC released the new players ranking on Wednesday. Mohammad Nabi has jumped two places to become number 1. Australia’s Marcus Stoinis has also jumped three places and is now at number two. Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza is at fourth and England’s Livim Livingstone and Moeen Ali are at sixth and seventh positions respectively.

In the latest ICC rankings, Shakib Al Hasan, Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga, Dasun Shanaka, Pakistan’s Shadab Khan have suffered a lot. Shakib has slipped four places from the top to fifth place. Hasaranga has slipped two places to third place. Dasun Shanaka and Shadab Khan have fallen 3-3 places to 14th and 15th place respectively.

Hardik Pandya has improved his/her ranking by one position. Now he/she has moved from ninth to eighth position. Pandya is the only Indian in the top-10. Akshar Patel has jumped three positions to reach 17th position.
