New Delhi : The operation is underway to nab the terrorists responsible for the attack on a bus in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces equipped with surveillance equipment including drones, sniffer dogs have deployed teams. These terrorists may be associated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba organization. Five women, three men and a two-year-old child have been killed in the attack. The bus driver and conductor also died in the attack. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has also reached the spot for investigation. The Home Ministry is keeping an eye on the entire incident. This bus going from Shiv Khodi to Katra was a 53-seater. There were 50 pilgrims in it. 9 died while 41 are injured. The condition of most of the injured is said to be stable. Sources say that the terrorists fired for 15 to 20 minutes even after the bus fell into the ditch. This shows that if the bus had not fallen into the ditch, the terrorists’ intention was to commit mass killing i.e. to kill all the passengers. The terrorists carried out this attack on the passenger bus with a new pattern. Among the injured are 21 men and 20 women.

The terrorists were in military uniform
The bus was attacked by terrorists at 6:10 pm on Sunday. The bus driver Vijay Kumar, a resident of Rajbagh Pouni, and conductor Arjun, a resident of Katra, also died in this attack. Some passengers on the bus told the media that when the bus was on the slope, a terrorist in military uniform was sitting in the middle of the road. As soon as the speed of the bus slowed down, he/she started firing. Then firing started on the bus from other sides as well. They could not understand what happened. The driver was also shot and he/she lost control of the bus. The bus fell into the ditch. Even then the terrorists kept firing at the bus.

NIA also reached during the joint search operation
Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF and Army are jointly conducting a search operation in search of the absconding terrorists. Drones are also being used as there is a possibility of terrorists hiding in the hilly area. Jammu and Kashmir Police DGP R.R. Swain and Reasi SSP Mohita Sharma along with other officers reached the spot. Meanwhile, a team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) also reached the spot. The forensic team has collected samples from the spot.

The number of terrorists could be two to three

Seeing the way the bus was attacked, security agencies believe that the number of terrorists could be two to three. Seeing the manner of attack, it also seems that these were fully trained terrorists. As was suspected earlier, some retired ‘soldiers’ from Pakistan Army are also being involved in terrorist activities in the guise of terrorists. Especially where to fire so that bullets can be fired with utmost precision. TRF i.e. The Resistance Front, which works on the instructions of Pakistan-backed terrorist organizations Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, is suspected to be behind this attack.

Then the pattern of attack in the evening

In the recent terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, most of the attacks are being carried out in the evening. On May 4, the terrorist attack on the convoy of the Indian Air Force in Surankot area of Poonch district was also carried out in the evening. Sources say that in fact, looking at the pattern of the terrorists attacking in whatever area, it seems that they find all the ways to escape from there before attacking.
