Why does Prabhas now do larger than life roles? ‘Kattappa’ Sathyaraj told this big reason

Sathyaraj, who played Kattappa in ‘Bahubali’, is currently in the news for the film ‘Munjya’. The film is performing well. Meanwhile, Sathyaraj has given a statement about ‘Bahubali’ star Prabhas. he/she has told why Prabhas does larger than life characters. he/she also said that superstars cannot experiment much with their characters. Sathyaraj became everyone’s favorite in the role of Kattappa in ‘Bahubali’. There were many memes made on Kattappa at that time and Sathyaraj’s pairing with Prabhas was well liked. After this film, Prabhas did many more movies in which he/she played different characters, but perhaps the audience did not like his/her experimentation. After ‘Bahubali’, the audience wants to see Prabhas in larger than life characters only. This is the reason why many of Prabhas’ films flopped continuously, including films like ‘Adipurush’, ‘Saaho’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’.

Satyarad gave the example of Prabhas and Thalapathy Vijay

Talking about superstars like Prabhas and Thalapathy Vijay, Sathyaraj told OTT Play that they cannot experiment much with their roles because the public wants to see them in larger than life roles. he/she said, ‘I think the market and business of some heroes has grown a lot. So, their films automatically become bigger. So the films have to be dubbed so that the audience across the world can watch them. It becomes a kind of a must-have order, which prevents them from playing different characters. Take Vijay, for example. he/she has done films like ‘Love Today’, ‘Thulladha Manamum Thullum’ and ‘Kadhalukku Mariyadhai’. he/she was also very successful. But now that he/she is a big star and the market around him/her has grown, he/she cannot come back to doing such films.’

After ‘Baahubali’, I can only do larger than life roles.

Sathyaraj further added, ‘Prabhas is another example. While he/she has done a lot of romance films, after ‘Baahubali’, you will only see him/her in larger than life roles. Today’s cinema has become like this. Superstars don’t have the freedom to experiment.’
