Now clean the dust with the help of a vacuum cleaner, apply a no-rinse coil cleaner or a solution of mild detergent and water on the coils and leave it for a few minutes. If there are stubborn stains, clean it gently with the help of a brush. Then wipe it with a clean cloth and put it back.

Clean the outdoor unit thoroughly from outside to remove any dirt. Also, ensure that the air outlet is free from plants, dirt or debris to ensure better cooling. But if the fan or coils still need cleaning, it is best to seek help from a technician to prevent any damage to the unit.
