Champions trophy 2025: Pakistan Cricket Board is ready to host the Champions Trophy from 19 February. A source said that Pakistan spent Rs 1200 crore to improve its stadium.

New Delhi. The Pakistan Cricket Board has dismissed speculations that the ICC Champions Trophy, starting on February 19, will be held in another country due to delays in repair work at three stadiums. There were some news going on social media in which it was being said that the repair work is going on in the stadium of Pakistan, hence the Champions Trophy will be held outside the country.

A PCB source said that the presence of the ICC contingent confirms that the tournament will be played in Pakistan. The board has spent about Rs 12 billion (1200 crores) on the renovation of stadiums. We issued the first statement about the ongoing work in the stadium because the media was spreading rumors without checking the facts. Let us tell you that the Champions Trophy matches in Pakistan will be held in Gaddafi Stadium of Lahore, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and National Bank Stadium of Karachi while India’s matches will be held in Dubai. The government of Pakistan has spent lavishly for the Champions Trophy.

This tournament will be held in 3 different cities in Pakistan. Champions Trophy matches will be played in Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi. Lahore will host the second semi-final. India will not play any of its matches in Pakistan. Three group matches involving India will be played in Dubai. Pakistan’s first match of Group A tournament will be against New Zealand on 19 February in Karachi.

Let us tell you that the Champions Trophy will start from 19th February. The first match will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand. This match will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi. India’s match will be against Bangladesh the very next day i.e. on 20th February.
