Kangana Ranaut abstained from political movies after ‘Emergency’! Will never make such a film again


Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is in the headlines for her film ‘Emergency’, which after being postponed several times, is now finally going to be released in theaters on January 17, 2025. This film remained in controversies and due to this reason it could not be released on its scheduled time. Perhaps this is the reason why Kangana has now given up on making such political movies. Know what he/she said. Kangana Ranaut has said in an interview to News 18 Shosha that whatever she has done in her life, she has learned important lessons from it. She says, ‘I will never make a political film again. I’m not very motivated. It is very difficult to make it. Now I understand why a lot of people don’t do this, especially real-life characters. Having said that, I think Anupam (Kher) ji as Manmohan Singh has done wonders in ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’. This is one of his/her best performances. But if you ask me, I’ll never make it again.

‘I did not lose my temper on the set’

It is known that ‘Emergency’ has been directed by Kangana Ranaut. he/she had to go through many difficulties while making this film. But he/she never let it come in the way of his/her work. She says, ‘I never lost my temper on this set. If you are a producer, what will you lose your temper over? As a director you can fight with the producer, but if you are playing the role of both then who can you fight with? I wanted to say that I want more money and I am not happy. who said what?’

‘Payment had to be made even if there was no shooting’

Kangana further said, ‘We were shooting during the pandemic. I had international crew and they are very strict. They had strict contracts and needed their payment by the end of every week. Since they were committed to my film, I had to pay them even if I did not shoot. And then there were floods in Assam. I also had other issues that I was dealing with. I was struggling to make this film. I was feeling helpless. Nain felt disappointed. Who do I show my disappointment to? Nobody was there.’

However, Kangana also revealed that her family, especially her sister Rangoli, bore the brunt of her anger. he/she said, ‘It’s a privilege to have a family with whom you can be yourself.’
