Salman Khan: Earned ₹ 59920200000 for Bollywood in 14 years, created a great record which is impossible to break


Bollywood’s ‘Sultan’, fans’ ‘Bhaijaan’ and box office’s ‘Sikandar’ Salman Khan has turned 59. he/she is celebrating his/her birthday on 27th December. It is interesting that even at this stage of age, there is an amazing craze for him/her among children, youth and elders. Even Salman himself admits that he/she is not a very good actor. But when it comes to entertaining on screen, no one can match his/her swag. By the way, Salman has played lead roles in more than 80 films in his/her 36-year long film career. Statistics show that from 2010-2023, in the last 14 years, he/she has earned Rs 5992.02 crore for Bollywood just from his/her lead role films. While the worldwide gross earning was Rs 5992.02 crore. If we take out the budget from the earnings, then the makers have made a profit of 242.206% i.e. Rs 4241.02 crore.

It seems that Salman Khan is more beneficial for the film industry than any mutual, because leaving aside the foreign countries, in the last 14 years in the country alone, 17 of Salman Khan’s films have collected a net collection of Rs 3328.55 crore. Salman Khan’s films have not only created a mountain of earnings worth crores, but have also created a great record, which is almost impossible to break. But the feat he/she has achieved since the release of ‘Dabangg’ in 2010 is like a dream. The amazing thing is that from ‘Dabangg’ in 2010 to ‘Tiger 3’ in 2023, all his/her 17 films are included in the Rs 100 crore, Rs 200 crore or Rs 300 crore club. It is due to Salman Khan’s stardom and fans’ craze for him/her that his/her ‘Tubelight’ released in 2017, ‘Race 3’ released in 2018 and ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan’ released in 2023, despite being average at the box office, managed to reach 100, 200. And became a part of the Rs 300 crore club. ‘Tubelight’ did a worldwide business of Rs 211.25 crore, ‘Race 3’ did Rs 300 crore and ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ did a business of Rs 184.60 crore.

In the last 14 years, 8 out of 17 films of Salman have proved to be blockbusters. Of these, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has been an all-time blockbuster, earning Rs 922.03 crore worldwide and Rs 320.34 crore in the country. Similarly, ‘Sultan’ earned Rs 300.45 crore in the country and Rs 627.82 crore worldwide. Whereas ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ earned Rs 339.16 crore in the country and Rs 558 crore worldwide.

Looking at these figures, it seems that Salman Khan’s star is not going to set yet. he/she is a money making machine for the makers and the industry. Anyway, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ director Kabir Khan had said in an interview, ‘During the shoot of the song ‘Selfie Le Le’, Salman got tired and lay down on the bench. When his/her eyes caught my eye, I jokingly started shooting him/her with the camera while sleeping. When I opened my eyes, my brother asked what are you doing? On this I said that I am making arrangements for old age. I will release it only when the fans think that hey brother, he/she remained asleep in the film, till then it will cross Rs 100 crore.
