Never seen such a scene before… Need to make MPs accountable, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said important thing


New Delhi : Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has said many important things in the context of the recent uproar and scuffle in the Parliament complex. The Vice President indirectly expressed grief over the incident of scuffle in Parliament. Days after MPs clashed outside Parliament over Amit Shah’s alleged ‘derogatory’ remarks against Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar today stressed that MPs should be held accountable. Dhankhar was interacting with the winners of Chaudhary Charan Singh Award 2024 in Delhi.

People taking ‘chaos as order’

he/she said that people have learned to take ‘chaos as order’. The Vice President said that he/she had never seen such a scene before. Dhankharne emphasized that for the success of any democracy, both the aspects of expression and dialogue should go together with great responsibility.

Time to make MPs accountable

Vice President Dhankhar said that now is the time for every thinking Indian to think deeply and hold those responsible – especially MPs – accountable. The scene I witnessed in the last quarter century of our independence and the adoption of the Indian Constitution should be a matter of concern. There is no feeling of change.

BJP-Congress clash with each other

Both Congress and BJP have alleged that opposition party members attacked and pushed their MPs when they entered Parliament House on Thursday morning. The Congress was protesting against Shah’s remark that ‘taking Ambedkar’s name has become a fashion’. On the other hand, BJP organized a counter-protest highlighting the alleged historical injustice done to the architect of the Constitution by the grand old party.
