Batsmen scored 93 centuries in Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Vijay Hazare Trophy 93rd century: The Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 season ended with Karnataka becoming the champion. Karnataka won the trophy for the fifth time by defeating Vidarbha in the final. A total of 93 centuries were scored in this season of the tournament. This tournament belonged to the batsmen, who scored a lot of runs. In many matches close to 400 runs were scored. Karnataka team, captained by Karun Nair, defeated Vidarbha by 36 runs in the final. Mayank Agarwal was captaining Vidarbha. Karun and Mayank stood first and second among the batsmen who scored most centuries and most runs in the tournament. Bowling was dominated by fast bowler Arshdeep Singh who took the most wickets. Arshdeep was playing for Punjab. he/she got the reward for this. This left-arm pacer has been included in the Champions Trophy team.

The new season of Vijay Hazare Trophy, one of the oldest tournaments in India, started on 21 December. The final was played on 18 January. In this tournament which was played for almost a month, the batsmen scored a lot of runs. This time 93 centuries were scored in the tournament. Karun Nair scored the maximum centuries. Nair scored maximum 5 centuries in 8 innings of 9 matches. Karun’s best innings was 163 runs not out. Mayank Agarwal remained at second position with 4 centuries. Mayank scored four centuries in 10 innings in which his/her best score was 139 not out. Apart from this, three batsmen scored 3-3 centuries. It includes Manan Vohra, Prabhsimran Singh and Dhruv Shourie.

Karun Nair scored 779 runs
Karun Nair scored the maximum of 779 runs in 8 innings in this season of Vijay Hazare Trophy. During this period his/her batting average was 389.50. Karun hit 109 boundaries which included 93 fours and 16 sixes. Mayank Agarwal, who once played for Karnataka, scored 651 runs at an average of 93. he/she was second among the batsmen who scored the most runs. he/she hit 90 boundaries which included 72 fours and 18 sixes.

Arshdeep Singh shines in bowling
Left arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh shone in bowling. Arshdeep Singh, playing for Punjab, took 20 wickets in 7 matches. However, his/her team could not reach the semi-finals. Arshdeep’s best bowling figure was taking 5 wickets after spending 38 runs. he/she took 4 wicket haul twice. Varun Chakraborty remained second among the highest wicket takers. Varun took 18 wickets in 6 matches in this season of Vijay Hazare Trophy. his/her best bowling is 5 wickets for 9 runs. he/she took 5 wicket hauls twice this season.
