9 Years of Modi Government: Rejuvenation of many temples in Modi government, religious tourism got wings


9 Years of Modi Government: May 26, 2014 was a historic day. When Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of the country for the first time. On 26 May 2023, 9 years of Modi government have been completed. In these 9 years, there have been many changes in the tenure of PM Modi. Ancient and historical temples have been renovated during his/her tenure. Along with this, he/she has also got a new identity on the world stage. From the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya to the Kashi Vishwanath corridor, the government has taken several steps. Today we are going to tell you about these temples.

Kashi Vishwanath

The Vishwanath Temple at Kashi is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Earlier this temple was up to 3 thousand square feet. Due to which the Modi government has increased it to 5 lakh square feet. Now the grandeur of the temple is visible. PM Modi has named this project as Kashi Vishwanath Corridor. Rs 800 crore has been spent on this scheme.

Somnath Temple

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has got the Somnath temple complex beautified. PM Modi is also the chairman of Shree Somnath Trust.

Kedarnath Temple

After the natural disaster in 2013, the appearance of the temple had deteriorated. The Modi government took up the responsibility of giving a new look to the temple and did development work. Rs 225 crore has been spent in the first phase for the development of Kedarnath. Here the 12 feet high and 28 ton statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya was unveiled by Modi.

Vaidyanath Dham

Vaidyanath Temple is located in Deoghar, Jharkhand. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the airport here last year. Due to which the access of the devotees has become easy.

Mahakal Lok of Ujjain

Rejuvenation of Mahakaleshwar temple has also happened in the Modi government. This temple is situated in Ujjain. Under this scheme Mahakal temple was expanded and Mahakal Lok has also been constructed.

Construction of huge idols of Hanumanji

Four huge statues of Bajrangbali are being built by the central government under the Hanumanji Char Dham project. Under this, the first statue was built on the Jakhu hill of Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a 108 feet tall Hanumanji statue in Morbi. The remaining two statues are being constructed in Rameshwaram and West Bengal.

Ram Mandir in Ayodhya

The dream of building Shri Ram’s temple in Ayodhya has been fulfilled under the Modi government. On 5 August 2020, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of the Ram temple. Since then the temple is being constructed rapidly.

Char Dham Project

Char Dham Yatra used to be very difficult earlier. The Modi government made easy ways for this. Now it has become convenient to visit Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. Work on this project is currently in progress.

The work of making huge statues of Hindu saints started in the Modi government. Under this, a 216 feet tall statue of Saint Ramanujacharya has been made in Hyderabad. Which has been named the Statue of Equality.
