Armed Police Forces Vacant Post: Recruitment drives are conducted from time to time by the Central Government to fill the vacant posts in the Armed Forces. Despite this, 84866 posts are vacant in various Armed Forces. Union Minister of State Nityanand Rai gave this information to the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. he/she informed that a total of 84,866 posts are vacant in six Central Armed Police Forces including CRPF and BSF out of total sanctioned strength of 1005520.
Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai informed that 31785 new members of CAPF have been appointed in the last five months. he/she said that CAPF posts fall vacant due to retirement, resignation, promotion, death, raising of new battalions, creation of new posts etc.
Responding to a written question in the Rajya Sabha, he/she said that as of January 1, 2023, there were 29,283 vacancies in the CRPF, 19,987 in the BSF, 19,475 in the CISF, 8,273 in the SSB, 4,142 in the ITBP and 3,706 in the Assam Rifles.
After the statement of the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, speculations are being made that soon the vacancies in the Armed Forces will be filled. The recruitment drive for these recruitments will be run by the Staff Selection Commission. Along with this, the vacant posts will be filled in several phases. However, there is no information about when the notification for the recruitment will come.
