West Indies scored 181 runs in 54 overs in this match played in Leeds. In reply, England scored 182 runs in 54.3 overs by losing 9 wickets. Sobers continued to play Test matches after this match, but never played in ODIs again. Today when we look at his/her statistics, he/she has more than 8000 runs in Test matches, but 0 runs are registered in ODIs.

Let us tell you that Gary Sobers played an unbeaten innings of 365 runs against Pakistan in 1958. This was the highest score in Test cricket at that time. This record of Sobers remained intact for 36 years. In 1994, Sobers’ compatriot Brian Lara broke this record by playing an innings of 175 runs.
