New Delhi. Australia defeated Scotland by 7 wickets in the first T20 match on the basis of Travis Head’s stormy innings. Explosive opener Travis Head played an important role in Australia’s big win. Head scored runs at a strike rate of 320. he/she played an innings of 80 runs in 25 balls which included 12 fours and 5 sixes. Australia achieved the target of 155 runs set by Scotland in 9.4 overs at the loss of 3 wickets. Head thrashed the Scottish bowlers fiercely. he/she hit shots all around the field. This left-handed batsman adopted an aggressive stance from the beginning and put pressure on the opposition bowlers. However, he/she missed his/her century by 20 runs.

Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss and asked Scotland to bat first. Scotland (AUS vs SCO) scored 154 runs for 9 wickets. Australia had a bad start while chasing the target of 155 runs. The second T20 match of the 3-match series will be played on Friday (September 6).
