7 players will become millionaires without playing, know how much Dravid will get from the prize money of 125 crores

New Delhi. The Indian team, which brought glory to India by winning the T20 World Cup 2024, is now being welcomed across the country. Celebrations are going on in the joy of victory. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also given this champion team a reward of Rs 125 crore. But do you know how this amount of Rs 125 crore will be distributed among the players. Will all the players get equal money? Will coach Rahul Dravid also get the same amount as the champion players? Will the reserve players get money? If such questions have arisen or are arising in your mind, then know the answer to this as well.

The Indian cricket team returned home on July 4 after winning the T20 World Cup. The BCCI felicitated the team on the same day. The board also handed over a cheque of Rs 125 crore prize money to the team on the same day. According to the Indian Express, all 15 players in the team will receive Rs 5 crore each as prize money. Apart from this, the team’s head coach Rahul Dravid will also receive Rs 5 crore.

Reserve players will get Rs 1 crore each
There were a total of 42 people with the Indian team in the T20 World Cup played in America and West Indies. These included 4 reserve players along with the 15-member team. These four reserve players will be given a reward of Rs 1 crore each. Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Khalil Ahmed and Avesh Khan were the reserve players of Team India.

7 players did not play a single match
3 players of the Indian team, Yuzvendra Chahal, Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal did not get a chance to play even a single match in the T20 World Cup. In other words, Chahal, Sanju and Yashasvi will get Rs 5 crore each without playing. When 3 players of the team did not get a place in the playing eleven, then how would the reserve players get it. That means, in total, 7 players who were with the team in the T20 World Cup will become millionaires without playing.

Selectors will get Rs 1 crore each
Apart from Rahul Dravid, the rest of the coaching staff will get a prize money of Rs 2.5 crore each. Support staff members will get Rs 2 crore each. Every member of the selection committee, including chief selector Ajit Agarkar, will be given Rs 1 crore each.
