60+ people will also get Ayushman Vandana Card? Know what is the recommendation of the Parliamentary Committee

New Delhi: A Standing Committee of Parliament has appreciated the initiative to include all the elders aged 70 years and above in Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri-Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). In addition, in this age group, Ayushman Vayu Vandana has also said to make age criteria rational for 60 years. Several recommendations have been made in the report of the committee on various departments of the Ministry of Health.

Criteria should be 60 years

The Parliamentary Committee has said in the recommendation that to broaden the Ayushman Yojana coverage, there should be a change in Edge Criteria for Ayushman Vy Vandana Card. Criteria aged 70 years and above for Ayushman Vy Vandana card should be 60 years. The committee said that even though their socio-economic situation may be. More than 40% of India’s population is covering under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.

Agreement on Ayushman Yojana in Delhi on 18!

The Delhi government will soon sign an agreement with the National Health Authority (NHA) to implement the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). Official sources said that the date of signing of the MoU has not been decided yet, but could be signed on 18 March. With the signature of MOU, Delhi will become the 35th state/union territory of the country to implement the Health Insurance Scheme. West Bengal will be the only state that has not adopted this scheme.

BJP promised before the election

According to sources, all preparations have been completed by the Delhi government to sign a memorandum with NHA to implement AB-PMJAY in the national capital. Implementing this scheme was one of the major promises of BJP in the Delhi Assembly elections. Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party-led government had launched its own plan and refused to implement AB-PMJAY.

Health insurance of Rs 5 lakh

In fact, AB-PMJAY provides a health insurance cover of five lakh rupees per family, every year in the event of hospitalization to about 55 crore beneficiaries along with 12.37 crore families included in the economically weaker 40 percent of the population of India. The Central Government had expanded AB-PMJAY on October 29 last year to provide the benefit of free treatment up to five lakh rupees to all senior citizens of 70 years and above, separate from their socio-economic condition.
