6 launches in first 6 months, 2025 is going to be very busy for ISRO

New Delhi: Just before the New Year, ISRO created history and successfully launched the Spadex mission. Not only this, the year 2025 is also going to be very busy for the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). Space Minister Jitendra Singh said that six big missions will be launched in the first six months of the new year. These include sending a female robot into space and India-America’s joint NISAR satellite. The Union Minister gave this information in a press conference. During this, he/she also told about the achievements and upcoming plans of 2024.

Jitendra Singh told ISRO’s plan

Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that Advanced Navigation Satellite NVS-02 will be launched first in January. This GSLV launch will be ISRO’s 100th mission. After this, as part of the preparation for the Gaganyaan manned mission, the female humanoid Vyomitra prepared by ISRO will be sent to space. This mission will be similar to the final human mission, only there will be no humans in it.

Launch of these big missions in 2025

The Union Minister said that if the Vyomitra mission is successful, astronauts will be sent into space. NASA-ISRO SAR (NISAR) satellite will be launched around March. This is the world’s most expensive satellite, costing Rs 12,505 crore. Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that this satellite will scan almost the entire earth and ice every 12 days. It will have very high resolution.

American satellite launching plan

Minister Jitendra Singh also said that ISRO was established in 1969, when America was busy sending humans to the moon. But now the situation has changed. ISRO is now launching American satellites. The commercial launch of a mobile communication satellite for an American customer is also going to happen soon.

The Union Minister said that an LVM3-M5 mission is scheduled for an international customer in the first quarter. A satellite for direct mobile communications to the US is also being launched by February or March. This shows our growing capabilities.

ISRO Chairman said – this is an exciting year

ISRO Chairman S Somnath said that 2025 will be a very exciting year. ISRO will launch four GSLV rockets, three PSLV and one SSLV in the new year. ISRO’s busy schedule will not end here. Other important missions are also in the pipeline. These missions will further strengthen India’s space capabilities. ISRO is contributing to space science not only for the country but also for the world.
