Team India to get Rs 58 Crore Cash Reward: The Indian cricket team, which won the ICC Champions Trophy, is going to rain crores. The BCCI has announced a reward of Rs 58 crore for the Indian cricket team.

New Delhi: The Indian cricket team, which won the ICC Champions Trophy, is going to rain crores. The BCCI has announced a reward of Rs 58 crore for the Indian cricket team. India won the Champions Trophy by defeating New Zealand on 9 March. This was the third time India won the Champions Trophy. It is also India’s second ICC Trophy in a year. India also won the T20 World Cup on 29 June last year.
The Cricket Board of India announced the reward to be given to Team India on Thursday. This prize money will be distributed among the players as well as the members of the selection committee headed by coaching and support staff and Ajit Agarkar. The BCCI has not given a detailed description of the reward in its statement. BCCI President Roger Binny issued a press release saying, ‘It is special to win 2 ICC titles in a row. This reward is a respect for Team India’s commitment and excellence.

The BCCI had earlier given a reward of Rs 125 crore to the Indian team that won the ICC T20 World Cup. This amount was also distributed among the players as well as coaching and support staff and members of the selection committee. India’s 42 -member team went to the T20 World Cup. There were 15 players among them. Every player was given a prize money of 5-5 crore rupees.
When India first won the World Cup in 1983, the board did not declare any prize money for the winning team. At that time, the financial condition of the BCCI was not such that the players could be given a cash award. After this, on the insistence of Raj Singh Dungarpur, Lata Mangeshkar did a special concert for Team India. After this concert, every member of Kapil Dev’s champion team was given a prize money of one lakh rupees.
